I purchased a mobile home in 2006. In 2013, a tornado caused some wind damage to my property and the underpinning of my home. When the inspector reviewed the damage, he found extensive damage not caused by the wind. My drain pipes had been leaking for 7 years. This was not noticed due to the underpinning. I contacted several people from Clayton. The responses ranged from deep sympathy to bold... Read more

If you want a new home do not buy a clayton home. I understand they own three other ones. They lie They make you think you are getting what you want, but you will not. They do not listen. The sales lady is pushy. On one pays attention. If there are things you want in a house do not buy a manufacture home, you will not get it. They say they do quality work. News to us. I have taken pictures.... Read more

We went to Clayton Homes after a bad experience with another company just to look around. The salesman who helped us, Jude, told us essentially that the floor plans were irrelevant and we needed to know an approval amount first. My husband and I were still waiting for some stuff to clear our credit report so we weren't ready to sign papers just yet, but he convinced us that was the only way to... Read more

Pissed Consumer, I have tried lots of places. Most agree that it is wrong. None will help because of the facts. If any manufacturer is asked the truth they will tell it. They protect equipment's health more than TDLR A/C division does human families in Texas. Any main A/C company that refuses to work in mobile homes will tell the truth. They refuse to work there , not because the money is... Read more

Purchasing a home from Clayton homes is the biggest mistake I have made in my life. The home I have is a 2014 the strips are coming from around the door frames and the corners of the walls. The master bathroom has water coming from around the tub. Already had the hot water heater to go out three times. Called the people at Clayton homes fixed somethings but this is a brand new home for it to be... Read more

Every state has a Manufactured Housing Division with strict codes relating to mobile homes; however the codes are only as good as the inspector who is behind them, in Kentucky your lame duck, the big companies are always right. I purchased a doublewide brand new in 2008 when the title came 4months later in was a 2006. Bottom line call, call, and call your state inspector and fire Marshall, keep... Read more
