I started in the manufactured/modular business in 1996 as an Oakwood Homes employee (now Clayton for those who do not know). Anyways I lasted roughly 2 years with the company and just could not take the lack of empathy for the consumers shown by the culture/management of the organization.
NOTE I am still in the industry, transact mostly in modular homes, but REFUSE to interact with any Clayton division or factory, instead I selective choose competitors of theirs to source my services.
That company is the last company anyone should buy a home from...
Its about nothing more than getting your deposit, signing a contract and then forgetting you exist other than to get themselves paid. The company, factories and "company owned lenders" should not exist for they are a true stain on the industry that "SOME" try to work in for the better good of all.
