CMH won’t honor warranty.

So Ive had a creaking floor in the living room since installed. The demo model did it to but they said they would fix it. Not only did they not its gotten worse. They didnt remove tar tape from shingles before installing and now the roof leaks. Several pieces of trim has fallen off the walls, and now there are speed bumps in the bathroom floor with no signs of water. This home is junk. Tired of it. Bought brand new in 2016 and they wont honor the warranty.

Poorly made

The mechanical parts of my windows broke from not being installed properly. I called customer service 6 times to see if we can resolve the issue. They told me that they were out of warranty. I've had the house built two years ago. This is one of the things that have been wrong with the house. They have poor customer service and the homes are poorly built. Don't waste your money on this company.

Your houses are overpriced for what they are built I purchased a house in Sweetwater Tennessee the first house was damaged so bad they had to replace it when I got the invoice for the second house we found out that the dealership pay the $34,000 for this house they sold to me 49,000 thats a pretty good Mark up and then when they put the septic tank the powerline clean on the land they did not do a good job because the pad failed they have to redo everything twice I end up giving them $62,000 after $6000 down payment so for this kind of money you would think that we would be in the house we sign papers on 9/17/19 To this day we still not in it they still blame us for the corny crack sealant and busted walls we in up cleaning the rest of the land they got pay for and there contract Clayton Homes in Sweetwater Tennessee is not a good company to work with I would not Recommend them to no one are Clayton Homes Not one person in the company has said it was the salesman fault that they let this happen they blame it on everyone else but the salesman that was supposed to be in charge we got a new contract signed by the CEO and the sales person and the sales person is still not wanting to honor the contract the way it states this is why I said Clayton Homes is full of smoke the CEO his boss should make sure that he is followed it to the letter no answer or reply back from the CEO got him on video tape and audio say that he was taking full responsibility a full charge of it not happening

Still waiting after 2 year still no house

Been wait over 2 years and still cant get house company to do anything still no housestay as fall away as u can everything out of there mouth r lies

They tore my house up on the livery because they did not cut the driveway in like Post to 14 foot wide driveway for a 16 foot trailer got 23 cracked ceilings eight busted walls I sign papers 9 17 2019 before Thanksgiving Ive been after them to fix things and make it right they were supposed to remove the trash still there to this day 4 24 2020 they make it like its my fault me and my wife we been cleaning up ourselves and they got paid for it all they care about is Lyon their pockets they have no customer care not even want to compensate us for all the time and money spent Out of all pocket when we paid them $62,000 for the home and for the job so we are out weeks of lost wages Cleaning up they have tore up the fence on the property line push trees over the property line and tow up neighbors trees and Have not fixed it to this day they dont care about your property or anyone elses The home office doesnt care either I talk to the GM he doesnt care just be aware of Clayton Homes make sure that you put in detail your contract when they gonna start and when you gonna be in your house and make it clear if not they wont finish what they start do you houses or is it that well-built to start off with Clayton home had a good name all it is now is a smokescreen and a way to line their pockets they advertise the customer comes first I havent seen it yet all Ive seen in one run around after another Ive got a log that I have kept go to Clayton Homes Sweetwater YouTube check out the videos and see if Im telling a lie or not beware of Clayton Home

Galvanized water connections

We moved into our new home from Clayton a little over a year ago. Not a pleasing experience at all. Everything went wrong as soon as our home arrived. The thing that concerns me most were the galvanized fittings used on our fresh water lines. I was told they have been using galvanized fittings for years, they did not know it was a health risk or against any code. If you have a Clayton Home you may want to check.

Substandard quality

All cabinets and baseboards are simply MDF covered with paper. Needless to say, these do not hold up. They peel, and any moisture (they are in kitchen and bath) damages them. I had never heard of paper covered materials before. I bought my house new in 2015.

I bought a Clayton Home in April 2016. I am generally pleased with the house but the cabinetry is MDF with pressed paper. I can't imagine why anyone would use pressed paper in wet areas. It now looks terrible, around the door handle under the kitchen sink the paper has worn off and is now down to the bear MDF. My house is just 4 years old. I would appreciate a response from Clayton on what could be done to repair or replace these cabinets.

User's recommendation: Great homes but check the finish on cabinets in wet areas. If they are covered in pressed paper...don't buy it or find out if a different finish is available.

Trailer not setup properly

Yes bought a trailer in florida clayton homes is over the company Freedom homes we bought from. The trailer has been unlevel every since we bought it. I have contacted freedom and clayton several times nothing has been done. We bought it in march of 2019. Nothing was down right nothing we asked them to do has been done. Everytime I talk to clayton they say they will return my call but have yet to receive it. The trailer isn't worth what we paid for it some of the trimming is already coming a loose.
