We purchased a home from Clayton Homes in Spencer WV.
The home was delivered and I went out there to connect the electric.
When I went to mount the meter panel I noticed that there was nothing to mount it too.I removed some siding and was appalled at what I saw. There was
no sheathing or vapor barrier on the exterior of the home. I contacted Clayton and they told me it was a option.
Since when is sheathing and vapor barrier a option on a home. The salesman never mentioned to us that this was the case. I brought it up to them and they basically said we will give you the materials and you do it. The method they used was to put 1/2 inch Styrofoam for the outside of the home. After removing some siding I noticed that the Styrofoam is broken in many places. As many of you know vinyl is not waterproof and
the water will get saturated into the bath fiberglass insulation. This will ultimately create mold and mildew. Has anyone out there run into this problem. I am pretty sure that most people don't even know what they have on the outside of the home. I need help
getting this resolved. Is there anyone who can help me.
